Below are the 4 strands, accompanied by brief descriptions of our offers within those areas. National Curriculum Physical Education

We have designed a curriculum of study that breaks down the potential barriers standing between young people with disabilities and the successful attainment of National Curriculum Physical Education outcomes.

Our methodology embodies outstanding subject knowledge, fully inclusive delivery and an individualised approach to holistic child development.

At present, we deliver High Quality PE lessons within all 7 Special Educational Need schools in Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale.

Disability Awareness Programme (DAP)

At present, we offer a DAP that sees pupils within mainstream education participate in enlightening sessions that consists of theoretical and practical elements, these elements focus on changing pre-conceived perceptions of disability through establishing a foundation of knowledge surrounding the challenges that people with disabilities may face in sport and wider life. This is supported by pupil engagement within impairment-specific simulation sessions (Blind / Deaf).

Pendle Support are proud to sponsor the kit for the Danny Ings Disability Sports Project for the 2015-2016 Season

Since the inception of our Disability Sport Project, Pendle Support have been of fantastic assistance in helping to promote and develop the programmes that we offer. I am extremely proud to have this project affiliated with an organisation that shares similar beliefs and values of determined commitment in making this area a better, more accepting place for disabled people, to live in. I am delighted to have Pendle Support associated with Burnley Disability Football Club, as the Main Kit Sponsor for the 2015-16 season. We currently live in a society, where having a disability is seen as a negative thing, together, with Pendle Support, our Disability Sport Project will take huge strides forward in countering such preconceived perceptions and we will endeavour to teach people to place value on unique characteristics’ Danny Ings– Danny Ings
